About the video: Create the Embroidery pattern and pass it to the fabric
Overview
“You don't need to know how to draw to create a beautiful embroidered portrait. I will teach you how to use an image as a guide to create your portrait. You will learn to do a good observation exercise to identify and define the most relevant elements of the face that you choose, and to mark all the guide lines that will later be useful when embroidering. We will finish by transferring the pattern to the fabric.”
In this video lesson Camila Rubio Erazo addresses the topic: Create the Embroidery pattern and pass it to the fabric, which is part of the Domestika online course: Beaded Embroidery Portraits. Learn how to embroider your favorite characters' faces to give personality and texture to your garments.

Camila Rubio Erazo
A course by Camila Rubio Erazo
Camila Rubio is a contemporary beaded embroidery artist and more commonly known as Pasionaria Pedrería. She got herself into the world of embroidery through the exploration and application of materials that caught her attention—especially shiny ones— in a self-taught manner.
Camila focused on developing a beaded embroidery technique that was as complete and thorough as possible, not only in the study of different stitches but also in the use of various materials, which would allow her to turn her drawings into embroidered pieces full of nuances, shine, and texture.
She worked on the Gabriel Vielma summer collection in 2017 and from there, continued to be linked to the intervention and decoration of clothing and publishing houses. She has developed all kinds of projects: beaded embroidery kits to create patches or pins, large-scale embroidery for showcases, embroidered gardens, paper with rhinestones, among other projects.
