About the final project for: Beaded Embroidery Portraits
Portraits in embroidered rhinestones
“We have reached the final part of this course! Marilyn is finished and it is time to start your own path with the rhinestones. Use the tools you have learned, the tips I have given you and give a new approach to your embroidery projects. I invite you to look for your style, the materials that suit you and create in the most attractive way for you. Look for rhinestones wherever you can, so you will have little by little your collection of materials to choose different colors and textures. For my part, I greatly appreciate your interest and attention in the course. It's time to choose your portrait, study it and transform it into an embroidery full of textures and personality.

Camila Rubio Erazo
A course by Camila Rubio Erazo
Camila Rubio is a contemporary beaded embroidery artist and more commonly known as Pasionaria Pedrería. She got herself into the world of embroidery through the exploration and application of materials that caught her attention—especially shiny ones— in a self-taught manner.
Camila focused on developing a beaded embroidery technique that was as complete and thorough as possible, not only in the study of different stitches but also in the use of various materials, which would allow her to turn her drawings into embroidered pieces full of nuances, shine, and texture.
She worked on the Gabriel Vielma summer collection in 2017 and from there, continued to be linked to the intervention and decoration of clothing and publishing houses. She has developed all kinds of projects: beaded embroidery kits to create patches or pins, large-scale embroidery for showcases, embroidered gardens, paper with rhinestones, among other projects.
