Fashion photography is much more than models with clothes, they are powerful images designed and designed to capture the spirit of a brand. Each photograph tells a story, and photographers are responsible for making them a reality. Javier Falcón is an experienced photographer with a great career in the fashion world who has learned from the greatest as an assistant to Mario Testino or Ruven Afanador. In this course Javier will teach you how to create fashion photographs for advertising campaigns or editorial publications. You will learn the workflow when conducting a fashion campaign, you will see what the brief , the importance of the pre-production meeting, the search for references and how to direct your shooting trendy. Finally, you will see how to reveal with Capture One, as well as brushstrokes of the basic retouching in Photoshop.

Javier Falcón will begin the course by telling you a little more about him, his career in the world of photography and video direction, and how he got into fashion photography. He will also tell you about his influences and what you will learn throughout the course.
You will learn the different phases of work when you make a fashion photo assignment. You will see what a brief consists of, why it is so important and how it can help you reach the conceptualization phase.
Next, you will learn what a general preproduction meeting is before shooting , who is part of it and what it is for: you will define the location, the photo schedule depending on the availability of the models, type of lighting and Other factors Javier will also teach you how to choose the right equipment.
3, 2, 1 ... The time for shooting ! You will see step by step how to prepare your photo session: how to assemble the lights, configure the camera, connect it to Capture One, props , set design, light tests, monitor the makeup or hairstyles of the models.
You will learn to work with artificial light and natural light. Also to shoot connected to Capture One, creating a session, sorting and renaming the photos to have an efficient workflow , and creating a setting of color so that all your photos have a initial colorization.
When you have taken the photographs, you will see how to reveal them in Capture One, reviewing some of its tools. Finally, you'll see basic touch-up concepts in Photoshop.

What is this course's project?
The final project of this course will be the presentation of a fashion photography for advertising, having been carried out through the process indicated by the teacher throughout the course.

To designers, illustrators or anyone who wants to learn to develop professional works of fashion photography.
What you need
Basic knowledge in the use of a camera and lighting and basic notions of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One are required.
As for materials, you will need a digital photo camera, a flash (although it will not be necessary if you would like to take the photos with natural light) and a computer with Photoshop and Capture One.
