“Sketch and transfer onto the fabric I'll explain how I came up with the idea to design this course. I designed a floral alphabet from A to Z, all the letters. I'd already done one before with the idea of creating a book which became a workshop with classes, and I created a kit with threads. When I thought of the project, embossed embroidery, or an introduction, as embossed embroidery is complex, you need basics and certain stitches, I thought I'd design an alphabet. Adriana Torres

Argentine designer Adriana Torres has an eclectic background, having studied architecture, graphic design, fine arts and illustration. His collection of objects received the Seal of Good Design awarded by the Ministry of Industry and was selected to be part of the Argentine pavilions at 100% Design London, Maison & Objet Paris and at Pitti Bimbo, Italy. He received first prize in the National Crafts Competition, organized by the National Arts Fund.
He has collaborated with brands such as Seletti, Crate & Barrel, El Espartano and Tea Connection. His work has been published in several books and magazines, including: Stich•illo (Uppercase), Encore! The new Artisans (Thames & Hudson), Super Handmade (Designers Book) and DPI Magazine from Taiwan. Some of his works have been on the cover of magazines, such as Farnese the elephant, in Modern Decoration Home (Hong Kong) and Ander the lion, in the British magazine Embroidery.
He has also taught classes and workshops in several countries: Brazil, Mexico, the United States, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and France.
