“In this lesson, we will talk about the medium that I use to be able to express my art. My choice of subjects are often small everyday scenes captured at the moment I am trying to transcribe. So I have this whole idea of transcribing the memory, nostalgia, dream. For me, it was obvious to use charcoal, because charcoal has a very dusty touch which gives a rather unique atmosphere.
