“ Embroidering the Patch: Cursive Letters Now that we have our design transferred to our fabric, we're ready to stitch. I'll begin by assembling my hoop. I have a trick for working with felt. It tends to sag and pull a bit because it's not woven and doesn't have the same structure that a woven fabric has, so to avoid that, I put a layer of paper under my felt before I stitch. I'm using freezer paper here, but if you don't have freezer paper or don't have access, you can use regular computer paper. That is optional.
