“In this lesson I'm going to be explaining graphite to you a little bit, how it's made and why I use it for my drawings. So graphite is an electrode of carbon. It's one of three electrodes. The others are charcoal, which is also really good for drawing, and the other one is diamond, which is the hardest to draw with. Due to graphite's molecular nature, it got a really strong bond in one direction and a weak bond in the other direction, making it quite slippery, which is also what makes it perfect for drawing.
