“In this lesson, I'm going to share some key autistic movements that have influenced me, starting with hyperrealism. Hyperrealism, firstly, was really interesting to me because it provides a really straightforward challenge. You're trying to depict something as true to life as possible. There's also an honesty in hyperrealism, which I found really authentic and that appealed to me a lot, but I started getting a little bit bored of just trying to depict things true to life, and so surrealism started to grab my attention in a big way.
