About the final project for: Concept Art Design and Worldbuilding

Concept Art: World Building with Digital Painting

“You have reached the end of the course; thank you very much for joining me in this adventure. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Throughout the course, I shared my thinking and problem-solving knowledge as a conceptual environment artist, showing you my building design skills. Now, you are more than ready to make a scene from scratch, using the knowledge gained during the course. Now, I want to show you the steps that I want you to show in your project: 1. Choose a building you want to create and the setting it belongs in.

2. Research the individual elements, focusing on the landscape it is in, the function of the building, and the technology available to those who build it. Research the prominent aspects first and reach the more minor details.
3. Start sketching your structure from a side of the front view; focus on the details first. Figure out how small elements like doors, windows, and arches look before moving to the building as a whole.
4. When you are happy with the details and the overall look, translate your flat sketch into a perspective drawing. Choose the angle that shows the most exciting parts of your structure.
5. Last, take your perspective drawing and color it before presenting it on a sheet alongside your most important references and sketches. The viewer needs to understand both process and outcome.
I want to see what you can create after you finish the course! When your project is completed, upload it to the forum by clicking "Create your project." I will give you feedback as soon as possible. However, I ask you to be patient because it may take me a while to respond. While you wait, I invite you to exchange ideas and feedback with the rest of your colleagues. Thank you very much for joining this course. See you soon! ”

And that you've learned a lot in this process. in order for you to be even more successful I have a few last parting tips for you. First off, Make sure to relax. Take it step by step. And don't worry if things don't work out straight away. This is a process. Second off, If perspective is still a bit too tricky, doing the side view of a building or just the front view of a building is fine as well. Just focus on the details and get all those cultural references in. Make sure ...”
