“So we've got the title, we've got the first few paragraphs, and now we're going to keep going and see where things and how things develop. I don't normally do a plot from beginning to end. I like to see where I go, but at the same time keep a rein in on how things are going. So I won't just write from beginning to end without stopping. I'll write for a bit, go back, look at what I've written, maybe make a couple of alterations, and then consciously try to think how I can present challenges and new parts of that story to keep the reader's attention going. Now I'm just going to read out loud ...”
