Creative Writing Techniques for Short Stories

“You've arrived at the end of the course. Congratulations! Thank you so much for joining me in this adventure. I hope you've found it entertaining and inspiring. As writers, sometimes our biggest fear is facing a white page. Don’t be scared! The only way to start writing, is to write! Take the risk and write down your first lines. Just a sentence might be enough. For this course project, you will need to write a short story in no more than 1200 words. Start by writing a rough outline of the plot. Then write down a description of the characters who will be in the story. Next, describe where it will be set. Lastly, write the story, sticking to the word length. Once your story is ready, share it on the forum by clicking "Create Your Project." I will be giving you feedback as fast as I can. Please be patient. It can take a while since I'm working on other projects. Meanwhile, I highly encourage you to give respective feedback to your fellows.”
