“In this lesson, we are going to start embroidering the elephant. We are going to use four colors. Pink, a red that looks orange, a very dark brown and an ocher color. These two are pearl, as I already showed you. This is a thread for Darnin and this is a thread for Sashiko. It has to be a similar thickness so that the lines of the sweater or t-shirt are similar. Argentine designer Adriana Torres has an eclectic background, having studied architecture, graphic design, fine arts and illustration. His collection of objects received the Seal of Good Design awarded by the Ministry of Industry and was selected to be part of the Argentine pavilions at 100% Design London, Maison & Objet Paris and at Pitti Bimbo, Italy. Some of his works have been on the cover of magazines, such as Farnese the elephant, in Modern Decoration Home (Hong Kong) and Ander the lion, in the British magazine Embroidery.
He has also taught classes and workshops in several countries: Brazil, Mexico, the United States, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and France.
