“ Layers and Textures In this lesson, I'll paint some examples and go over the layer modes that are useful to know while building textures. I'll use an image as a reference to draw some practice elements to begin with. Go to the Tools option at the top, and click on the Canvas menu. Then, you can click on Reference and pull in your own image or one from Pinterest, online, or some photo that you've taken. When drawing from a reference, I don't copy them exactly.
