“ Painting the Base Layer In this lesson, we'll be painting the base layer for our final project. I'll show you how to lay down big areas of colour using a large flat brush to make painting a bit quicker. Then we'll move on to adding details later. I'll start off painting the hills. We'll work from the back forward and focus on the large basic shapes. It's nice to get a big block colour down so you get that fear of the white page gone.
