“ Painting the Base Layer Now I'll be adding in the sea. I'm using a nice dark teal for this one, which I'll mix with a tiny bit of this olivey green colour. This is the section where you want to be careful of the boats, so try and go around those as neatly as you can. If you find using a smaller brush at this stage more helpful, then feel free to swap over your brushes. You don't need to be too precious about the foreground at this stage because we'll be covering that up with another green colour in a minute. I always find this bit really relaxing. It's the nice slow bit and you can chill ...”
