About the final project for: Creative Coding: Immersive Art with openFrameworks

Creative Coding: Immersive Art with openFrameworks

“Thank you so much for joining me on this journey! We've reached the end of it, but it's just the start f a new adventure. I hope you've learned a lot! By using the ideas and guidance, I have given you throughout this course, you’re now free to go ahead and get creative with your own course project. I will outline the essential steps to complete it. The First Steps First, download the required application and install it. Before you start creating your generative application, look at visual references and find inspirations for colors and motion. Practice by using the different shapes available. Test different sorts of animations for motion. You can be inspired by the movement you find in the natural world. For instance, in my project about plankton, I looked at the way organisms swim or drift in the water. Defining the Idea From your references, define the visuals you want to create with code. Can the unit 4 particle system be reused for your program or do you prefer to start from scratch? If necessary, check the openFrameworks examples and the various community addons. Analyze the example code and take notes.

Coding, coding, and coding! Using the project generator, create a new empty project. It´s a good time to start coding, remember the theory about variables, functions, classes, arrays, loops, and conditions. Code step-by-step and regularly test that your code works before adding features and complexity. When there are bugs, use the 'cut' command to understand how the program works. Add interactivity features with your webcam.
The Installation Finally, prepare your material for the installation. Once in the space, set up and launch the application. Invite your friends to live the experience!
Once your project is ready, share it on the forum by clicking the "Create your project" button. I will look at your publications as soon as possible and answer any doubts that need clarification. In the meantime, I encourage you to see what your fellow students have been up to and comment on their posts! I’m so excited to give you feedback on your projects. This is going to be fun! See you soon!”
