Rus Yusupov is a designer and tech entrepreneur who immigrated to New York from the USSR in 1989. This has always driven him to make the most of his opportunities by embracing his passion for art, design, and technology. He has been painting and drawing since he was old enough to hold a crayon, studying art at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, then design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
Since then, Rus lead the redesign of CNN.com, designed the logo and first website for Hulu.com, and designed the first Nike+ iPhone app. In 2008, he founded design and engineering studio Big Human, then in 2012 co-founded the Vine video app. He has received several major industry recognitions, including a Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award, Variety Magazine Breakthrough of the Year Award, and an Emmy Nomination.
