“ Value Studies and Line Work In this lesson, we'll do the linework for the final painting. Also, I want to talk about how important values sketches are before you start the painting. Especially for watercolors, it's very important to be sure of where your lights and darks will be before you touch the paper. If you don't know this and take the brush and start painting, it won't end well. That's why it's important to have some value sketches done before the painting. Not just one, maybe a couple. I try to do it for most of my paintings if I'm not sure about the placement of my darks and ligh...”

Reha Sakar is a Turkish artist based in Vancouver, Canada. He first began painting as a young child with his mother and fellow artist. After studying astronomy at university and working as an insurance broker during the holidays, he soon realized that art was his true passion. From there, he took a course in Photoshop and discovered his talent for 3D art, which kick-started his creative career.
