“ First and Second Wash In this lesson, I'll start painting with the first couple of washes. The first wash will be just a blind color and we'll build the tones on it. Don't forget, in the first wash, if you lose your lights, they'll be gone forever. You cannot bring them back. Be careful and keep the light areas as light as possible. You can come back and add more layers on it, but you cannot go back. I'll use this 2-inch brush to wet my paper. I normally don't wet my paper, but I want this painting to have a real nice smooth gradient to build a depth. That's why I'll wet it first and appl...”
