About the final project for: Introduction to Puppet Making for Stop Motion

Introduction to Puppet Making for Stop Motion

“You have reached the end of this course! Thank you for making it all the way here. It has been an amazing experience for me to be able to share my process with you. It is now time to start working on your final project if you haven’t already. I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. To help you, I will sum up here the main steps you need to follow to complete your project. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It would be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell me if you have any doubts. This will help me understand your creative process and guide you better if you need advice. The Character and The Sketch Decide on what kind of character you are going to make. You can create a mini-me, as I did, or imagine a whole new character. Once you have decided, sketch it out and think about the fabrics, the details, and any little extras that will finish off the puppet nicely.

The Puppet Start by making the puppet's skeleton, then add foam for the muscle and fabric for the skin.
Make a miniature outfit for your character and add head details like the face and hair.
Bringing It to Life Lastly, set up the puppet in a few fun poses and take a few pictures. Finish off the project by doing a mini animation to bring your character to life!
I can't wait to see what you have created, so don’t forget to share your project on the forum! You can do so by clicking on ‘Create your project’. I’ll be checking in from time to time to look at your posts and answer your questions, but the forum is also an amazing opportunity to give and receive feedback from fellow creatives. Get involved with your peers! Thank you for trusting me and I hope to hear from you soon! Bye! ”

“Okay, so that's the end. Thank you so much for joining me on this puppety adventure. and give yourself a little pat on the back or the head but make sure you give one to your puppet too. I now have a tiny puppet version of myself. But I encourage you to get really creative with whatever it is that you're making. You can make family members, make a present for your friend. Make your favorite character from your all-time favorite movie, whatever you want. Just get really creative with it. Or if you really want to, you can make a tiny version of me. I'm okay with that. And then we can have a t...”
