Gouache Painting of Urban Landscapes

Tommy Kim is an art director in the animation industry and an urban sketch enthusiast. Though he spent most of his life in Los Angeles, he is now based in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he enjoys practicing his hobby of plein-air painting.

His passion is to capture everyday life in his artwork, and finds peace whenever he’s outside observing nature with his gouache paint. When he’s not painting, he’s working in the animation industry, collaborating with clients like Gaumont Animation, Original Force Animation, Illumination and Skydance.
