Excellent course! Love Eleanor’s style and it’s great to see what art inspires her. Also love that she clearly lays out her supplies and the steps that she uses to create her fantastic urban sketches.

I love what Eleanor does with a scene, the looseness of her approach, the variety of marks and media and the balance between busy spaces and receding spaces. Her sketches feel free, light and fun as a result. The freedom of her art is inspiring and I immediately felt inspired to go and experiment after doing her course. Perhaps a beginner course but I also think a lot to pick up from people who might have a lot of experience but feel a little stuck in their way of doing things.

I think this is a good introductory course. The first half is very clear and thoughtful in regards to creating an interesting composition and what materials are great to use for urban sketching, which I appreciate. However, I thought the chosen painting used to lead this course was not as atmospheric as Eleanor's other work, and because of this, I felt there were some aspects missing from it too.

Great in all, personally not for me.

I started after long time and never worked this style (urban sketching) but Eleanor explained really good and with details which I really enjoyed and most of them were new to me. I suggest you try this course

The instructor was very clear and detailed and imparted a ton of information. I’ve taken a lot of sketching classes recently and learned some new techniques with this one.
