“ Adding Details and Final Touches I was drawing all the time from light to darker and from larger to smaller surfaces. Now I want to add the darkest values and details. Usually I don't like using a black colored pencil because it reminds me of drawing with a graphite pencil and it dims the portrait too much, so I use dark umber or Tuscan red, something that is a very dark brown because I usually like when my portraits have this warm tone. If you like, you can use other colors, for example, a very dark blue or another shade that you like. If you like this effect, you can use black color. It...”
