“ The Hues of the Face In this lesson, I'll show you how to layer more hues, and adjust saturation and values. Skin does not have one color because it's translucent. The blood vessels are visible from beneath. The thinner the skin, the more vessels will be visible. The skin is the thinnest on the nose, cheeks, eyelids, and ears. If you put a flashlight to your ear or nose you'd know that then they shine red. Red tones very often are on the lips. On this map, you can see how I distribute the hues on the face.
