“ Assembling Page 1: Big Ben Now, we'll put this onto the base page and we've done this in this order. We've put all of our details on as it's much easier to work flat and we'll stick this to the base page. We've got our additional elements which go over to cover the glue tabs, so we'll be doing those last. I've realised I've missed one crease at the end of my piece. That's easy to add back in. The way I work out where it needs to go is to fold everything flat. When it folds flat, Big Ben will be like this. I want it to go inside. I need to make the crease line down here. She grew up in a creative household and went on to study a BA in graphic design at Central Saint Martins, working for clients alongside her studies and producing her own artist books. Helen later worked as a paper engineer for a card company while juggling freelance projects and, a year later, pursued her creative passion full-time.
She has worked in the editorial and advertising fields, creating and directing for clients including Fanta, TIME, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Sky, The Savoy Hotel, Ted Baker, Etsy, The Body Shop, and The Sunday Times. Alongside creating paper craft designs and publishing books including Midnight Monsters and Hoakes Island, Helen teaches MA Illustration at Falmouth University. She is also the co-founder of the London chapter of Ladies, Wine & Design, which aims to bring together women in creative industries.
