Research, depict and present your character ideas in a professional manner
Designing a character is a global concept, which goes beyond an illustration process. The character design starts long before you put the pencil on the paper; There is a process of conceptualization and design everything that surrounds your character. Jordi Ros, Mexican illustrator and designer, knows him perfectly and will share it with you in this course.
You will learn to design characters, from the ideation of a solid concept to its illustration and then you will learn to present it in the best way for your personal or professional projects. You will create a complete but flexible methodology, focused on the design of characters in any of its applications: animation shorts, comics and even collectible figures.
What's included in this course?
You will begin by getting to know Jordi Ros's work, his professional career and his influences applied to the design of characters.

Then you will create the basis of your character: a template on which you can go iterating and changing depending on the action and situation in which you are. This will help you to streamline the design process.
Finally, Jordi will tell you how to adapt your characters, and all the content generated around them, to a professional presentation format with descriptions, annotations and graphic design elements that will help your character explain itself.

Jordi Ros is an illustrator, designer and artist. He was born in Mexico, although he is based in Barcelona and, for 6 years, he has been exclusively dedicated to commercial illustration, with projects for clients such as Vice UK, Universal, Virgil Atlantic, Adidas or Sony Music, among many others. In addition, he works independently as a developer of concepts for art toys and collectibles brands.
Jordi's work is characterized by the fusion between traditional elements of drawing, manga and sport, and his intention is to reflect in his portraits the current generation that evolves day by day. In spite of its western origins, the Japanese influence in its work is evident.
