The most important tool when you are making this sort of jewellery is your hands. I love the fact that you can make a necklace with your hands and a piece of rope, and you need nothing else. The three ropes that we'll use during this course are this one, which I buy from a local supplier in the North of England. It's called magicians' rope and it's 10-mm thick.
