“ Influences In this lesson, I want to share some of the influences that have inspired me and my work. One of my favourite artists is Sheila Hicks. She's had a massive influence on my work. This book is called "Material Voices." I love to look at some of the things she has made. I like the neutral colours in this. She does a lot of weaving, she's a fibre artist. These are quite neutral. Again, neutral colours, but the size of this rope installation inspired one of the pieces I made for The Scottish Gallery exhibition, a necklace, based on the same pleating and size as this one.
