“Setting up the Lighting In this lesson, we'll set up the lighting in the studio. Now let's go to the shoot. As you can see, we've set up two Coloramas, pretty much as we did with the tabletop with the two pieces of card. That's our set with the mattress positioned in front, which is where our acrobat will land. As we did on the tabletop, I positioned the lights behind the set, and they will bounce into those white walls of the ceiling. Then we've put Coloramas in the front and that will bounce the light back in and that's our fill lights. A bit like what we did before, we've essentially got...”

Phil Frisk is a photographer and filmmaker based in London with over 20 years of experience. He studied sociology and mass media at Goldsmiths, University of London, and originally wanted to be a writer before being introduced to photography. After discovering the joys of image making, he spent his time adding tones and doubling up negatives to create new realities in the dark room and, once he graduated, began working as a studio assistant to deepen his knowledge.
