Architectural Illustration: Bring Design Concepts to Life

“Well done! You have reached the end of this Domestika course. Thank you so much for taking part and I hope you've enjoyed delving into the world of architectural illustration. Before saying goodbye, let's recap the necessary steps to complete your project: Choosing a Site and Researching Choose a site and research design solutions that might be relevant to your site.

Starting to Sketch Explore your design ideas and composition through your preliminary sketching.
Drawing the Final Lines Finalize your sketch into the final line drawing.
Rendering the Illustration Render your illustration using the rendering techniques we have discussed to put the final touches on a great image.
Masking the Illustration and Applying Color and Gradients Begin by masking, then apply color and gradients. Paint your shade and shadow, then be sure to add some final touches.
Finalizing Present your illustration.
Remember to experiment, be playful, and have fun! Share your project with other creatives and post it on the forum. I also encourage you to help and give advice to other students in this course – working together can be very helpful and inspiring. I'll be reviewing your work too, and I'll provide you with feedback as often as I can. Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your illustration and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. So I can give you feedback. See you in the forum!”

“Final Project That brings us to the end of the course. I appreciate your time and hope you've picked up some things to help you communicate your ideas via drawing. Architectural illustration is a means of both communicating and designing. If you can do both, you can be an effective team member. When choosing your site, try to find one that you believe is underutilized or that you would like to redesign or influence in a positive way. Think about your proposal as a catalyst for businesses to invest and improve the community. Keep in mind that your preliminary drawing is only to get your idea...”
