Introduction to Group Portrait Photography
“We've reached the end of this course! Thank you for joining me. I do hope you've enjoyed the process and now feel ready to work on your own photoshoot. It is time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the project you started while completing the exercises or you could work on a brand new photoshoot! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell me if you have any doubts. This will help me understand your creative process and guide you better if you need advice. Mood Board and Briefs Start by creating an image library and pull references for everything and anything that inspires you! You’ll use this in all your projects moving forward. Then, create a mood board, a wardrobe brief, and a shot list to make sure you feel fully prepared on the day of the photoshoot. Settings Before the Photoshoot Test out your lighting plans and have your camera in the right settings. Get your talent on set and go through the photoshoot with them. Explain your ideas and expectations and work with them.
