After studying at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez spent some time working for the Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec studio. In 2010, he won the Design Parade competition at Villa Noailles and created his own studio a year later.
Since then, he has worked for several brands and editors such as Moustache, Manufacture de Sèvres, Kvadrat, and Tai Ping. His work has received numerous awards and some of his pieces have been included in the permanent collections at the Centre Pompidou and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
