“ The Forehead and the Side of the Face Before I finish the top of the forehead, I'll start under the eye and continue towards the edge of the face. Here, I'll use the eye as an anchor point for where my stitches start to angle outwards. One thing that makes your portrait look more realistic is following the fur path exactly how you see it. Even if your colors aren't completely accurate and perfect, if the fur path is realistic, your portrait will look more like the pet you're stitching.
