“Project First Layer: Filler Stitches In this lesson, we'll start on the first layer of our project. We'll begin stitching it using our three filler stitches, the straight stitch, the encroaching satin stitch, and the French knot. There is no order to these stitches and no set color or thread that we'll use. The whole purpose is to choose random colors, ones that we like, ones that appeal to us.
