Kristen Gula is a self-taught fiber artist from St. Louis, Missouri. She specializes in hand embroidery, and founded her online store, Gulush Threads, in 2013. Shortly after launching her business, she started her own YouTube channel to teach embroidery tutorials, which boosted her online presence, earning her 98K followers. Since then, she’s travelled throughout the U.S. and Canada teaching hand embroidery workshops.
In 2018, she published her first book 200 Embroidered Flowers, which has since been translated into German and Japanese, and boasts a 4.6 rating on Amazon. Kristen has featured in The Crafter’s Box podcast, as well as publications like St. Louis Post Dispatch, Ladue News, Koel Magazine, Vail Daily, and St. Louis Magazine.
