Everyone has their unique source of inspiration. At times, it's hearing a turn of phrase, thinking of a character, or going to a landscape that sparks a story. As a speculative fiction writer, I'm interested in how the ordinary and the weird interact. A lot of my stuff starts as a thought experiment. What happens if your hair starts to talk to you?
