About the final project for: Sci-Fi Scenes in 3D with Cinema 4D and OctaneRender

Set construction and lighting - Cinema 4d + Octane

“We have now come to the end of the course. Thank you for the participation! I hope you had as much fun as I did. Now you can get started on your project: use the process and techniques I showed you to create your own night scene in Cinema 4D. But before we say goodbye to each other, I would like to summarize the individual steps here for you as generally as possible. • First, look for inspiration that includes elements or looks that you want to implement in your project and create a mood board. • Find models and textures that you want to add to the scene and match the moodboard you created. • Then you can insert the models and create materials from the selected textures. • Then add the lighting and mood to your scene. These include neon signs, street lights, area lights and fog. • Finally, you render your scene and do some post-processing with the help of Photoshop.

I'm looking forward to seeing your finished work! Don't forget to take pictures during the process to see your work developing. You can then upload this to the forum together with your finished night scene. The forum also gives you the opportunity to exchange ideas with other course participants - the exchange of ideas can be very helpful and inspiring. Of course, I will also be there as often as possible and will be at your side with feedback and advice. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with your project!”

“Final Project Our course is now complete and I’d like to take some time to summarize the lessons through which we have composed our scenes. First of all, I told you about me and my influences. I came from the music world, into graphics and 3D and that I am completely self-taught. That should motivate you. Then we sought inspiration and created a mood board online. This helped us to develop a vision for our night-time scene and establish the right atmosphere for what we wanted to create. We sought out models and textures from Kitbash3D, and decided on a few sets which we then downloaded, to ...”

Fabian Oberhammer, also known as The Dizzy Viper, is a 3D artist from Italy. He works as a freelancer in stage visuals and album covers, is a crypto artist, and also works in his family's travel agency. His field of expertise is scenebuilding and lighting in Cinema 4D and OctaneRender, especially working with fog, neon, and atmosphere. His renders have caught the attention of car companies like Maserati, McLaren, and West Coast Customs, as well as musicians like Excision, Skrillex, and Meek Mill.

It was through music that he found his way into 3D design; while looking for album art for his work, he decided to create his own. For several years now, he has continued to hone his skills and composes renders from start to finish on a daily basis. Thanks to his projects Abandoned Supercar and DRFT, as well as his YouTube tutorials, his popularity in the industry has been constantly growing. The puddles he created are now used by well-renowned figures such as Sarper Baran, Tom Coben, Clint Jones, Corridor Crew, and Mograph.
