Personal Strategy: Present the Best Version of Yourself
“We hope that this course will help you to get to know yourself better and realize all the good that you can contribute to the professional world of the company, also having the perspective of the people who are going to hire you. We really thank you for taking this course and we encourage you to continue updating your portfolio and CV constantly, since looking for a job to continue advancing in your professional career is a necessity that will accompany you for the rest of your life. Do not stay with the first idea. Always seek depth of thought. Pull the thread and the whys. You have to be honest to search within yourself for what is true. Knowing what you can contribute (if it is from the difference, much better) will lead you to know what you can help companies improve. Once you know this, it will be much easier for you to stand out. Before saying goodbye, we want to remind you of 5 key concepts for your path: • Mindset + Right Moments: You are going to enter a new process that is going to cost you. Dedicate a set time per day or week for what is important to you. A good time of day is to take advantage of the first hour or two of the morning before work or whatever else you have to do. Make a commitment to take your project forward. • Depth: we never get tired of saying it. And it is that the most relevant things are in layers of thought beyond the superficial ones. Quantity of ideas prevails over quality. Then select the most relevant. • Authenticity: It's time to show yourself with more authenticity and honesty than ever. Outside poses. Be yourself! It's time to be brave and show yourself as you are. Do not fear! • Creativity: Creativity is part of your abilities. Show your creativity also when designing your CV and portfolio. Flee from the obvious and look for what is not seen. • Empathy: Think of others above all things. Think about who you are designing for. It is always designed for someone. Your narrative and value proposition are for others to know who you are, what and how you do and, of course, why you do what you do. Finally, we will review the key phases of the project. We have had the collaboration of Isabel Rojo for our case study, but the course will be useful if you work on your own case. Authenticity, in addition to being a value highly appreciated by others, is the place from which to build your professional career. When you share your project, it would be great if you briefly explain what you have done in each one and accompany the explanation with one or more images. Three tenses: past, present and future In this file Isabel compiled and defined the important elements of her past, those that she considers relevant in her present and where she wants to direct her career in the future. Do the same with the template that we leave you in the Unit 2 resources.
