“Handling the Tools In this lesson, we'll discuss handling the tools and a few different techniques As I mentioned, for this project, I'll be using my carving tools and my big rubber block. First, you need to know how to hold your tool. The way I hold my tool is the same for every tool out there. You place the handle in your palm and put your index finger on the middle part. You can control the tool with your index finger while you're carving. Place your carving tool on the rubber block and the angle should be approximately 25 degrees.
