“Influences Let me tell you about a few things that inspire me. I love the artist Karel Appel and his CoBrA movement. In the house I grew up in, we had a lithograph of one of his "Dancing Man." I remember as a child asking my father if this drawing was made by a kid, and he said it was a famous artist. I was shocked and blown away that art could also be that because I always knew the fancy, Renaissance kind of paintings. I think that inspired me that art could also be child-like, free, expressive and colorful. It might sound a bit weird to say that on a daily basis my daughter inspires me in...”
