“Adding textures In this lesson I am going to show you how I use colored pencils to give an extra warmth to my illustrations. One of the great advantages of gouache is that once it dries, a completely smooth and matt surface is left and allows you to add details with colored pencils of all kinds. My favorite colored pencils are the Caran d'Ache brand and also the Prismacolor.
