You can move from figurative to abstract. I'll give you advice on how to present your drawings. You can use the Ls, your paper set squares, to frame your drawing. I've created three examples. I'll explain what I did. I used this frame for this drawing. I overlapped the trees contour line and simplified it. I also simplified my color palette. Then, I played with a mirror effect.
