“My Recipes In this lesson, I'll show you different recipes and tips for using colored pencils and markers, on their own and together. I'll start with a colored pencil to show how we can get very vibrant tints with pencils. We think of colored pencils as pastel and dull. But we can get tints with very rich pigments. I'll start with a gradient. It means going from the lightest to darkest shade. The lightest will be the white of the paper, which I'll preserve.
