“Equipment Talk In this lesson, I'm going to talk you through my equipment. It is important to know that I actually don't own most of the stuff. I hire up most of my equipment, depending on the scale of a shoot. Sometimes I need a better resolution camera, a Phase One, which is very expensive and not worth buying at all. Sometimes I need more lights or different kinds of lenses than I own. Don't get in a mindset that you need to buy or own lots of equipment to start photographing. I've done most of my uni work, simply getting away with whatever uni had to offer, which was very old, some 90s ...”

Aleksandra Kingo is a commercial photographer and director who works in Europe as well as the US. Growing up in Lithuania, Aleksandra spent her time creating dreamy, surreal photographs to express her creativity and won a competition at just 17 years old, which led her to consider a career in the industry. She went on to study fashion styling and photography at the University of the Arts London where she honed her skills.
After graduating, Aleksandra began sharing her work online and working on projects in line with her style, one of which led to her working with the major London agency M&C Saatchi. Since then, she has worked with clients including Virgin Atlantic, Glenlivet Whisky, Miu Miu, Kenzo, Nespresso, Honda, and Häagen-Dazs.
