About the final project for: Designing a Typographic Poster with Illustrator

Designing a Typographic Poster with Illustrator

“We have now reached the end of this course. Congratulations! I'm glad you took the time to learn more about the art of typographic design. Before we say goodbye to each other, I would like to use the remaining time to give you a few tips for your final project. Inspiration and mood board First of all, it's about finding your inspiration. To do this, start looking for a word, a quote or a statement that has a special meaning for you or whose sound you like. Then look for appealing images or elements that match the topic you have chosen to create a mood board. This mood board will help you capture the mood of your graduation project.

The sketching process Then make analogous sketches of all the letters you need, create a suitable grid and insert the letters.
Design in Illustrator Then trace your letters in Adobe Illustrator and design them down to the last detail. Include all elements that should allude to your statement.
The color palette Then you create a suitable color palette for your picture and give each shape and each letter the color you want. Export the finished image as a PNG or JPG.
Fine tuning and mockup Finally, open your file in Adobe Photoshop and create a few filters for fine-tuning - for example the noise filter. Then you put your finished typographic poster in a suitable mockup to visualize it in context.
As soon as your graduation project is finished, I would love to see it presented in the forum! To do this, simply click on the "Create your project" button. You will see how motivating and enriching it can be to receive constructive feedback! I'll also stop by the forum to see your work. Don't worry if I don't answer right away - I promise to get back to you as soon as I can! In the meantime, feel free to share it with the world. See you soon!”
