“Influences Now that you know more about me, in this lesson, we'll see my influences and inspirations. One of my earliest inspirations was Nicolai Fechin. He's an artist based out of California, originally from Russia, but his work is very refined and detailed. I remember being amazed at how he was able to render form while making it feel somewhat personal. In his work, you'll see great line quality, great use of the charcoal texture, so you'll have smooth areas, rough areas, and it shapes what I think is good realism.
