Daniel Valero is the Mexican architect and textile designer behind Mestiz. Founded in 2015, its underlying aim is to create textiles and other items with a strong regional identity, combining traditional techniques with new design methodologies.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized with a Dimueble national furniture design award and received a National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA)/ENSAD applied arts grant, as well as a place on the British Council's Housewarming artist residency.
