“Clear Glazing and Glaze Firing In this lesson, we'll clear glaze and seal the underglaze on our mug. I'll also talk about glaze firing in a bit. As I mentioned earlier, we want to use a non-toxic and food-safe clear glaze for this. Make sure that the glaze you use is compatible with the clay, meaning it's at the same firing range as the clay you use. The clay I used here is earthenware, which is low fire. I'm making sure that the clear glaze I use is also low fire. Glazers like this come in either brush on form or dipping form. The one I have here in a smaller bottle is brush on. The dippin...”

She has collaborated with brands like Audemars Piguet, Valentino, and Mille, and has been featured in Vogue Arabia and Marie Claire Arabia
In 2019, Hessa founded Clay Corner Studio, the first public arts studio in Ajman dedicated to ceramics and painting, where she currently teaches regular ceramics classes. Her work has been exhibited in a number of exhibitions, including Emirates Fine Arts Society’s Annual Exhibition. Hessa was twice a runner-up for ADMAF’s Creativity Award (2015-2016), and the first place winner of CDA’s Human Rights Short Film Competition (2014).
