“Translate a photo into a sketch I'm happy for the first solid areas of my character. Now I am creating a new layer. And we will tackle the background. I'll start with a fairly neutral color. A little darker than the character's skin. Here I did Alt + Delete to fill the layer with my active color. Then I just selected my brush which is called Color Variation.
