“Materials In this lesson, you'll learn about some of the materials of this course. I'm going to share some of my favourite tips that I think you'll find useful. For painting, you'll be using gouache because it has an amazing, velvety matte texture which is perfect for scanning. Sometimes paints like acrylics with a shiny finish will reflect the light in the scanner so they don't translate as well, digitally. Gouache can be used in a really similar way to watercolour. It has the same flexibility and can be used with washes and layers. The best thing is, it's really opaque, so you can paint b...”
